A graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte, Sánchez works primarily in photography, video, drawing and sculpture. Her work focuses on architecture and its connection to memory. She has been exhibited at CC Mechelen, Mechelen, Belgium in 2022; Southeast Museum of Photography, Daytona Beach, Florida, United States in 2018; Rostrum Gallery, Malmö, Switzerland in 2018; Foto Museo Cuatro Caminos, Mexico City, Mexico in 2017; The Annemberg Space for Photography, Los Angeles, United States in 2017; Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Wifredo Lam, Havana, Cuba in 2016, among other venues. She has been awarded Second Prize in the First Edition of the Latin American Contemporary Photography Award, Monterrey, Mexico, 2018; FotoFest Scholarship, Houston, Texas for 2018; First Prize in Post-it (3rd Edition), Havana in 2015; and Third Prize in Cuban Art, ArtOnCuba Magazine in 2015. Sánchez has participated in artistic residencies such as Flora ars+natura Residency in collaboration with Artista X Artista, Bogota, Colombia, 2018; Havana Culture Residency (3rd Edition) by Havana Club International, Havana in 2013, among others.
