Glenda León

b. Cuba, 1976
Lives and works in Havana and Madrid. Emerging from a multidisciplinary background and spiritual explorations, her practice defies our perception of the world with unconventional materials and techniques. Her work has been extensively exhibited and can be found in important public exhibitions worldwide such as the Center Georges Pompidou (Paris), the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto), the Pérez Art Museum Miami and the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles). She recently held a solo exhibition at the Museo de Arte Contemporánea de Vigo (2021; Potevedra) and was recognized with the Pilar Juncosa and Sotheby’s Biennial Award for Artistic Creation (2021; Fundación Miró Mallorca).
