The Jorge M. Pérez Collection / El Espacio 23 Research Fellowship is an ongoing, invitation-based initiative designed to advance research and scholarship on the collection. The Fellowship invites curators, scholars, and experts to undertake focused study of its holdings, examining individual artists, thematic frameworks, specific mediums, and other areas that merit deeper exploration.

Through sustained engagement with the collection, Fellows contribute specialized knowledge and new perspectives that broaden its understanding across artistic, historical, cultural, and geographic contexts. Research may result in essays, archival studies, and other scholarly contributions that provide critical analysis, establish new connections, and identify areas for future study. In doing so, the Research Fellowship strengthens the collection as an active resource for scholarship, interpretation, and the production of knowledge.
