Wolfgang Tillmans’ Freischwimmer is the result of the artist’s experimentation with photographic paper, chemicals, and unusual lighting effects, to create an image in which lines of colored light cross over one another, swirl, and dance in the sky.  The light appears light appears in the form of colored lines giving the illusion of translucent red threads.
