LUZ LIZARAZO

The search, study and experimentation of different materials and media to develop her work has been a constant since the beginning of her artistic life. Recent milestones in her career include her participation in the Malta Biennial (2024) with her work “Mi cuerpo dice la verdad” and her first anthological exhibition ( 2021/2022) “Cicatrices” at the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá and Museo La Tertulia in Cali, Colombia (2022) under the curatorship of Eugenio Viola. Chosen to realize the work “Cerramientos” a permanent installation developed for the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá (2017) with her work “Celosías, estéticas de la paranoia”, two sculptural pieces that close and open the entrances to the museum. It is part of collections such as: Museo Reina Sofía de Madrid, TBA21 in Madrid, Banco de la República de Bogotá, Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, CGAC Centro Gallego de Arte Contemporáneo (Santiago de Compostela), SHMOG Shanghai Museum of Glass (Shanghai), Instituto Figueiredo Ferraz (Sao Paulo). “In the eye the rose is born” Casas Reigner Gallery in Bogota (2023). “Visceral”, Lokkus Gallery (Medellin 2020), “Ornitographies”, Museum of Modern Art of Barranquilla (2017), The beauty will be convulsive or will not be” Museum of Modern Art of Medellin ( 2023), “Desire. Una sobre el sexo, el amor y la lujuria” Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín (2017) are some remarkable exhibitions.
