Ivan Perera

Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte in 2018, Perera works with diverse media such as sculpture, installation, photography, drawing. Influenced by literature, the artist has developed a poetics of objects and fragments, in which everyday artifacts —often interwoven or threaded together— refer to various systems of relationships and symbolic power. Ivan Perera has previously participated in residences such as Vermont Studio Center, Johnson and Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Bros Fund, New York, among others.
