On July 9th, 2024, El Espacio 23 hosted a group of children from the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center Summer Program. During their visit, the children were given a tour around the exhibition, To Weave the Sky, where they discussed the practice of weaving and textiles. 

Afterwards they engaged in an interactive art activity, led by textile based artist, Ọmọlará Williams McCallister. The children each created and took home their own handmade indigo dyed creations.
