José Yaque was born in Manzanillo, Cuba, in 1985 and graduated in Fine Arts at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana in 2011. In 2015 was invited to the 12th Bienal of Havana and the same year started to work with GalleriaContinua, wich represent him internationaly.  He has participated in many group and solo exhibitions and Art events such as the Bienale of Venice 2017, and Art Unlimited 2018, Basel. He contrubuted with the scenery of the Opera Moses in Egypt, at Giuseppe Verdi Theater, Pizza. Both his paintings and instalations are part of interesting collections like Voorlinder Museum and National Museum of Fine Arts, Cuba, among others. At present he lives and works between Havana and Madrid.
